- 1/2 c. (1 stick) margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. water
- 1 1/2 c. flour (self-rising)
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/3 c. milk
- 2 c. chopped apples
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Heat oven to 350° and melt margarine in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. In a saucepan, heat sugar and water until sugar melts.

2Cut shortening into flour until particles are fine crumbs.

3Add milk and stir.

4Turn onto floured board and knead until smooth.

5Roll dough into large rectangle; spread apples and sprinkle with cinnamon.

6Roll up and slice into 1 1/2-inches and lay apple, side up carefully in pan.

7Pour sugar syrup carefully around rolls. Bake 55 to 60 minutes.
