  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 c. salad shortening
  • 1/3 c. water
  • self-rising flour
  • 3 or 4 good-sized apples
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. water
  • cinnamon

Directions

    Melt margarine in 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

    Make crust of shortening, water and enough self-rising flour to make stiff dough.

    Roll dough out thick.

    Spread with chopped apples.

    Roll up as for jelly roll and with sharp knife slice and drop into melted margarine.

    Place in oven and cook at 350°

    until lightly brown.
