  • 6 pared, sliced apples (medium)
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. soft butter or margarine

Directions

    Place apples in greased 8-inch square pan or 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.

    Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over apples. Combine flour, brown sugar and butter.

    Spread mixture over sugared apples.

    Bake in a 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until fruit is tender and top is golden brown.

    Serve warm with cream or ice cream, if desired.
