- 4 medium size tart apples, peeled and very thinly sliced
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/3 c. water
- 5 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 5 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
- 5 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Place sliced apples in bottom of a 9-inch square baking dish. Dish should be about 1/2 full of apples.

2Combine cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar; sprinkle over the apples.

3Pour water over all.

4Combine butter, sugar and flour until it is a crumbly mass.

5Sprinkle over the apple mixture.

6Bake at 325° for 45 minutes.

7Allow to cool 5 minutes before serving.
