  • 10 Granny Smith apples
  • 3 T. fresh lemon juice
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1 c. unsalted butter (cold-cut up)
  • 3 t. ground cinnamon

Directions

    Slice, peel, and pare apples.

    Place sliced apples in large bowl, mix with lemon juice. Let sit.

    Mix flour, sugar, salt, butter, and cinnamon in food processer, or blender using pulse speed until mixture resembles coarse meal.

    Mix small amount into apples.

    Pour apples into 9x13 pan.

    Cover with remaining crumb mixture, making sure edges are sealed.

    Bake 350 until top is golden, edges may bubble, and apples are tender (try about 30 minutes).
