- 4 medium tart apples, sliced
- 13 cup butter or 13 cup margarine, melted
- 34 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 34 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 14 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 34 cup brown sugar, packed
- 12 cup all-purpose flour
- 12 cup quick-cooking oats
- 13 cup butter or 13 cup margarine, softened
- 34 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 12 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ice cream, if desired
Directions

1Heat oven to 375F Grease bottom and sides of 8-inch square pan.

2Let apples soak in the melted butter a few minutes.

3Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl; pour over the apples and mix together.

4Spread apples in pan.

5In medium bowl, stir remaining ingredients except cream until well mixed; sprinkle over apples.

6Bake about 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown.

7Serve warm with ice cream.
