  • 6 -8 medium baking apples (tart)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 14 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 34 cup all-purpose flour
  • 12 cup butter (a little additional for baking dish)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Directions

    Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

    Peel core and chop apples.

    Place in buttered 9 inch baking dish.

    Combine remaining ingredients.

    Pack closely over apples.

    Using a fork poke holes all over the crisp to break it apart (or it will be a crunchy layer like peanut brittle) Place on cookie sheet and bake for 1 hour or until bubbly.
