  • 6 to 8 medium apples, sliced thick
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. flour

Directions

    Place peeled, sliced apples in a 2-quart or 11 x 7-inch casserole dish.

    Blend together with a pastry blender until crumbly the butter, brown sugar and margarine.

    Sprinkle over the apple slices.

    If apples are dry, add water before you put on the sugar mixture.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 375° about 35 to 45 minutes.

    Test apples for doneness at 35 minutes.

    May be served with lemon sauce, whipped cream or ice cream.
