- 5 or 6 sliced apples (tart and firm)
- 1 c. flour, sifted
- 1/2 to 1 c. sugar (depends on tartness of apples)
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, unbeaten
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Place apples in greased 6 x 10-inch baking dish.

2Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and egg with fork until well mixed and crumbly.

3Place this mixture over top of sliced apples.

4Pour over all the melted butter.

5Sprinkle with cinnamon.

6The secret to this recipe is the egg in the crumb mixture.

7Be sure it's well mixed.

8Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
