  • 4 medium cooking apples, pared, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
  • 1/4 c. hot water
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 3/4 c. quick oats
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. unsifted flour
  • 1/4 c. chopped pecans
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

    Grease 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan.

    Place apples in pan.

    Mix corn syrup and hot water; pour over apples.

    Mix together margarine, oats, brown sugar, flour and salt until crumbs form. Stir in pecans.

    Sprinkle mixture evenly over apples.

    Bake in 350° oven 45 minutes.
