- 2 lb. (5 c.) apples, cored and sliced
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 4 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Place the apples in a buttered casserole and sprinkle water over them.

3Mix together the sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt and flour and rub in the butter.

4Sprinkle this mixture over the apples.

5Cover and bake 1/2 hour.

6Remove cover and bake another 1/2 hour.
