  • 1/2 to 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1/3 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. rolled oats (uncooked)
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 4 to 5 apples, sliced (enough to fill an 8 x 8-inch pan or small cake pan)
  • cinnamon and sugar (to sprinkle on apples)

Directions

    Combine brown sugar, butter, flour, oats, cinnamon and nutmeg together until crumbly.

    Slice apples thin (like you would for a pie).

    Sprinkle with some sugar and cinnamon; place in baking dish and cover apples with the crumb mixture.

    Bake at 350° to 375° for 30 minutes, until crumbs are brownish.
