- 1 graham cracker crust
- 1 large egg yolk
- 5 1/2 c. sliced apples
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. light brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. light brown sugar
- 1/3 c. butter
Directions

1Heat oven to 375°.

2Brush bottom and sides of crust evenly with beaten egg yolk and bake on baking sheet until light brown, about 5 minutes.

3Remove crust from oven.

4Combine apples, lemon juice, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 3 tablespoons flour, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.

5Mix well and spoon into crust.

6Mix remaining flour, sugar, brown sugar and butter with fork until crumbly.

7Sprinkle topping evenly over apples.

8Bake on baking sheet until topping is golden and filling is bubbly, about 50 minutes.

9Cool and serve.
