- 4 large tart apples
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/3 c. butter
- 1/2 no roll pie pastry
Directions

1Pare apples, cut in eighths and arrange in a 9-inch pastry-lined pie pan.

2Sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar mixed with cinnamon.

3Sift remaining 1/2 cup sugar with flour.

4Cut in butter until crumbly.

5Sprinkle over apples.

6Bake in hot oven (450°) for 10 minutes.

7Then in moderate oven (350°) for about 40 minutes, until apples are tender.
