  • 3 lb. bag Jonathan apples
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • cinnamon to taste
  • 1 c. flour
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 Tbsp. soft margarine
  • 1 egg

Directions

    Slice apples into a 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon.

    Mix together flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and margarine.

    When mixed, add egg.

    Mix until crumbly. Sprinkle on top. Bake at 350° for 45 to 60 minutes.

    Serve warm, not hot, with Cool Whip or ice cream.
