Apple Curry Pork Chops

- 6 pork chops (3/4-inch thick), trimmed of fat
- 2 c. applesauce
- 1/3 c. white wine
- 1/3 c. raisins
- 1/3 c. onion, diced
- 1 tsp. grated lemon rind
- 1/4 tsp. curry powder
- 1/4 tsp. ginger
Directions

1Saute pork chops in large Teflon skillet (medium hot pan, so no fat needed).

2Brown on both sides.

3Combine in bowl the applesauce, wine, raisins, onion, lemon rind, curry and ginger; pour over pork chops in skillet.

4Cover; turn heat low.

5Cook for 45 minutes, or until tender.

6Remove meat; reduce sauce.

7Cook for 10 minutes.

8Serves 6.
