Apple Dump Cake

  • 2 (No. 2) cans sliced apples or 1 (1 qt.) jar home canned sliced apples
  • 1 large can crushed pineapple
  • 1 box cake mix (yellow or white)
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. coconut
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 sticks oleo or butter, melted

Directions

    In 9 x 13-inch pan, spread apples, then add crushed pineapple.

    Sprinkle cake mix over fruit, then a layer of coconut, then a layer of nuts.

    Pour melted butter over top of mixture. Bake at 325° to 350° for 1 hour.

    May be served plain or with ice cream or Cool Whip.
