Directions

1Heat oven to 325°, make pie dough, peel apples, core, leaving apple whole.

2Sit apple on a square of dough.

3Put white sugar in hole, put a pat of butter on top.

4Then close up dough around apple.

5Wet as needed with water so it will stick together.

6Cook in a glass pan for 35 minutes.

7Spoon juice back over top to glaze.

8Cook for 15 minutes more.

9When done, let cool for a few minutes to firm before serving.
