- pastry for 2-crust 9-inch pie
- 6 baking apples, take out cores
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Fill apple cavities with 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon mixture.

2Dot with butter.

3Roll out pastry and cut into 7-inch squares.

4Place apple on each pastry square.

5Boil sugar, water, butter and cinnamon.

6Place dumplings in pan; pour hot syrup over dumplings.

7Bake 45 minutes in a 425° oven.
