Apple Dumplings

- 5 medium apples
- 1 can (5) biscuits
- 1 c. water
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 stick butter
Directions

1Peel and quarter apples.

2Cook, letting them come to a boil. Then separate biscuits into halves and roll each half flat.

3Put 1/5 fruit on a half and top with another half.

4Seal overlap by mashing top and bottom edges together.

5Repeat for other dumplings.

6Mix 1 cup of the water used for cooking the apples with the sugar and 3/4 stick margarine.

7Put dumplings in pan and pour mixture over them.

8Melt the remaining 1/4 stick butter and pour over all.

9Bake at 400° until brown.
