- 6 apples
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. butter
- 2 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Make pastry for 2 pie crust (makes 6 dumplings).

2Core and peel 6 apples.

3Roll and cut pastry to wrap each apple.

4Fill each apple cavity with a mixture of:

51/2 cup sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon butter.

6Wrap each apple and place in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

7Boil together for 3 minutes:

81 cup sugar, water, 3 tablespoons butter and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.

9Pour over apples. Bake at 425° for 40 to 45 minutes.
