  • 6 cups apples pared, cored, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons orange juice
  • 13 cup brown sugar firmly packed
  • 2 tablespoons butter r margarine
  • 1/2 cup corn flakes
  • 1/2 cup flour, all-purpose sifted
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg or cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest grated
  • 3 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Directions

    Preheat the oven to 375 Degrees F. Arrange the apples in a greased 10 X 6 X 2-Inch baking dish.

    Sprinkle with 2 tablespoon of sugar then with 3 tablespoon of orange juice.

    Work 13 cup Brown Sugar and 2 tablespoon butter until creamy.

    Add the next 4 ingredients and mix until crumbly.

    Spread on the apples.

    Sprinkle with 3 tablespoon of orange juice and dot with 1 tablespoon butter.

    Bake in a moderately hot oven of 375F (190C)., for 45 minutes.

    To Serve: Serve hot or cold with whipped cream if desired.
