- 3 granny smith apples
- 34 cup plain flour
- 1 egg, seperated
- 2 tablespoons brandy
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 12 cup sugar
- 12 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 15 g butter
- 1 pinch salt
- oil (for frying)
Directions

1Peel and core apples.

2Cut into 1.5cm slices and sprinkle with sugar and lemon juice.

3Sift flour and a pinch of salt in a bowl.

4Add milk and egg yolk, beat until smooth.

5Add brandy and melted butter, stand for 30 minutes.

6Beat egg whites to stiff peaks and fold into batter.

7Coat apple slices with batter and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.

8Toss in cinnamon and sugar.
