  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 envelope (1/4 oz or 2-1/4 tsp) Fleischmann's yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 egg large
  • 3 cups slicd, fresh cooking apples
  • Cinnamon Topping:
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1-1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp butter or margarine

Arrange apple slices evenly over batter; sprinkle with Cinnamon Topping. Cover; let rse in warm, draft-free place until doubled in size.
