- 1 1/4 c. Wesson oil
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 c. chopped walnuts
- 3 c. chopped apples (peel apples; use Winesap)
Directions

1Blend oil and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla, flour, salt, baking soda, nutmeg and cinnamon after sifting. Add apples and nuts.

2Bake in well-greased and floured 10-inch tube pan at 325° for about 1 hour and 45 minutes.

3(Check cake after 1 1/2 hours.)
