  • 3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. cooking oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (20 oz.) can pie apples, sliced
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

    Sift flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg in large mixing bowl.

    Stir in sugar.

    Beat eggs slightly; blend in oil and vanilla.

    Pour into dry ingredients and mix well.

    Stir in apples and pecans.

    Turn into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.

    Bake in preheated 350° oven for 45 to 60 minutes or until cake is golden brown and springs back when touched lightly.
