  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 3/4 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1 1/2 c. diced raw apples
  • 3/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    Beat eggs until fluffy.

    Add sugar gradually, beating in each addition thoroughly.

    Sift together flour, salt, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg.

    Stir into egg mixture.

    Add the almond extract, chopped walnuts and diced apples.

    Mix thoroughly.

    Pour the batter into a well-greased glass 8-inch square baking dish. Bake at 325° for about 50 minutes.
