  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 23 cups onions diced
  • 23 cups celery diced
  • 3 cups bread day-old, diced
  • 3 cups apples diced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 18 teaspoon sage ground
  • 18 teaspoon marjoram ground
  • 18 teaspoon thyme ground
  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 1/2 cup pecans chopped
  • 1/2 cup water

    Add onion and celery and cook until tender.
