- 6 c. thin sliced, peeled cooking apples
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- dash of ground nutmeg
- pastry for double-crust pie
- 1 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg.

2Add sugar mixture to the sliced apples; toss to coat fruit.

3Fill a pastry-lined 9-inch pie plate with apple mixture.

4Dot with butter.

5Adjust top crust.

6Seal and flute edge.

7Sprinkle some sugar atop, if desired.

8Cover edge of pie with foil.

9Bake in a 375° oven for 25 minutes.

10Remove foil; bake for 20 to 25 minutes more or until crust is golden.
