- 6 to 8 Winesap apples, peeled and cut in thin slices
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. orange juice
- 2 to 3 lemon slices
- 2/3 stick butter
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cook apples, sugar, lemon slices and orange juice until ingredients are transparent.

2Add butter and vanilla.

3Fill pastry shell with apple mixture and top with pastry.

4Save juice from cooked mix to pour over pie after it is baked.

5Cook pie at 350° until brown.
