- 6 lb. or 6 to 7 qt. apples
- 4 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. salt
- 10 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
Directions

1In a saucepan, mix the sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch and nutmeg. Add the salt and water.

2Cook and stir until bubbly. Add the lemon juice.

3Pour over sliced apples in jars.

4Leave 1-inch headspace.

5Cold pack in boiling water bath 20 minutes.
