  • 4 eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 qt. warm milk
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Directions

    Beat eggs slightly.

    Add salt and sugar and beat until dissolved.

    Add milk and vanilla and mix well.

    Pour into a 10-inch pie shell, unbaked, and sprinkle with nutmeg (nutmeg may be added with the sugar).

    Bake for 10 minutes at 450°.

    Reduce temperature to 350° and bake 15 minutes longer or until knife inserted in pie comes out clean.
