- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. soft butter
- 1/4 c. buttermilk
- 4 eggs
- 2 medium Golden Delicious apples, peeled, cored and diced
- 2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Butter and flour 10-cup tube pan.

3Mix flour, baking powder and baking soda.

4In a large bowl with electric mixer, beat sugar, butter and buttermilk until pale in color.

5Beat eggs in a small bowl and add egg alternately with flour mixture.

6Beat until well blended and fluffy.

7With a wooden spoon, stir in apples and vanilla.

8Pour batter in pan.

9Bake 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean.

10Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes.

11Turn cake out on wire rack and cool completely. Makes 10 servings.
