  • 1/2 c. butter or regular margarine
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. sifted flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 c. cooked or canned apple slices

Directions

    Melt butter in a 2-quart casserole.

    Combine sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon in bowl.

    Mix well.

    Add milk and butter; blend well.

    Pour batter into a 2-quart casserole. Drain apples; pile in center of batter.

    Bake in a 375° oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until batter covers fruit and crust browns. Serve warm.
