  • 4 None apples, cored and thinly sliced into rings
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 7 oz marzipan, grated
  • 1 1/2 cups creme fraiche
  • 1 pkg (16 oz) frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed for 10 mins and cut into 10 rough ovals
  • 1/2 cup quince jelly

Directions

    Preheat the oven to 425°F. Sprinkle the apples with the lemon juice. Beat the marzipan with an electric mixer, gradually beating in the creme fraiche until smooth.

    Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and place the pastry ovals on them. Spread with the marzipan mixture and top with the apple rings. Bake for 20-25 mins until golden.

    Warm the quince jelly in a small saucepan and spread over the apple puffs. Cool on a wire rack.
