- 2 Cup flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 Cup sugar
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 5 tbsp. shortening
- 3/4 Cup milk
- enough apple to cover dough
Directions

1Sift and measure flour, salt, sugar and baking powder.

2Cut the shortening into the flour mixture until it resembles a coarse meal.

3Add milk and stir with fork until stiff dough is formed. Turn onto lightly floured board and knead 20 seconds to shape. Roll dough lightly 1/2 inch thick into a rectangular shape.
