Apple Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple (undrained)
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1 (3 oz.) lemon jello
  • 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
  • 1 c. diced apples (don't peel)
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. chopped celery (real fine)
  • 1 c. Cool Whip

Directions

    Combine pineapple and sugar.

    Put in saucepan.

    Boil 3 minutes. Add jello; stir until dissolved.

    Add cream cheese; mix well.

    Let cool.

    Fold in apples, celery, Cool Whip and nuts.

    Chill.

    Cut in squares; serve plain or on lettuce leaves.

    Can use any flavor jello.
