- 1/2 c. apple cider or water
- 2 small apples, peeled and cubed
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 Tbsp. margarine or butter (if desired)

2Peel and seed squash.

3Cut into 1/2-inch cubes.

4In medium saucepan, combine squash and cider. Cover.

5Cook over medium heat for 10 to 12 minutes or until squash is almost tender.

6Add remaining ingredients.

8Cook over medium heat 4 to 5 minutes or until squash and apples are very tender.
