- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 1/2 c. oatmeal
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. molasses
- 1/2 c. melted shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. nuts
- 2 c. sliced thin apples
Directions

1Mix flour, salt and cinnamon; add remaining ingredients, except nuts and apples.

2Press 1/2 dough in greased 9-inch square pan.

3Sprinkle nuts and apples over dough.

4Put remaining dough on top.

5Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.

6Cut into bars.
