- 5 medium apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1/3 c. butter or margarine, melted
- 1/4 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Place the apples in a greased 9-inch round cake pan.

2Combine 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and 1/2 cup nuts.

3Sprinkle over the apples.

4Combine flour, 1/2 cup sugar the baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl beat together the egg, milk and butter.

5Add to the flour mixture; mix until smooth.

6Pour over the apples; top with 1/4 cup nuts.

7Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 40 to 50 minutes, until the top is golden brown.

8Serve warm.
