- 6 medium yams or 1 (2 1/2 lb.) can drained yams
- 4 peeled, sliced, tart apples
- cinnamon
- 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 stick melted butter
Directions

1Bake sweet potatoes.

2Pierce skin and allow 40 to 60 minutes at 400° or cook covered in boiling water to cover for 30 to 35 minutes until tender.

3Drain and cool and remove skin.

4Grease 1 1/2-quart baking dish.

5Alternate layers of sweet potatoes and apples, sprinkling each layer with cinnamon, brown sugar and butter.

6Top layer should be apples.

7Bake covered at 350° for 30 minutes.

8Uncover and bake an additional 45 minutes.
