- 6 c. McIntosh apples, cored and sliced (approximately 4 large)
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 c. heavy or lite cream (1/2 pt.)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 unbaked 9-inch fluted deep dish pie shell
Directions

1In a bowl, mix apples, 3/4 cup sugar, flour and cinnamon. Arrange apple slices in circles in the pie shell.

2In a small bowl, beat eggs, cream, vanilla and 1/4 cup sugar until well blended.

3Pour mixture evenly over top of apples.

4Bake in a preheated oven at 375° for 40 minutes, covered with a piece of aluminum foil.

5Remove foil and continue baking another 30 minutes or until golden brown.

6Serve slightly warm.
