- 1/3 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon

1Cut peeled apples into quarters.

2Heat apples and water to boiling over medium heat; reduce heat.

3Simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally to break up apples, until tender, 5 to 10 minutes.

4Stir in remaining ingredients.

5Heat to boiling; boil and stir 1 minute.
