- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. margarine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 3 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 c. applesauce
- 1 c. raisins
Directions

1Dissolve baking soda in 4 tablespoons of boiling water.

2Stir into applesauce.

3Cream together sugar, salt, margarine, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.

4Beat all together.

5Add this to flour and raisins.

6(Use tube pan.)

7Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
