  • 3/4 c. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 c. unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 1/2 c. all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. nuts (if desired)

Directions

  1. 1
    Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and mix well. Add applesauce. Sift together flour, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, soda, and salt and add to creamed mixture. Add raisins and nuts. Bake one hour in a 350 degree oven.
