  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 2 c. applesauce
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 to 3 c. flour

    Cream sugar and butter together.

    Mix soda with 1/2 cup water. Mix all ingredients together.

    Grease and flour 4 (9-inch) cake pans.

    Pour batter into pans and bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 350°.
