  • 2 c. dried apples, cooked and sweetened to taste
  • 1 c. butter
  • 4 c. self-rising flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 3 c. nuts, chopped

    After cooking apples stir in soda and set aside.

    Cream sugar and butter together.

    Add eggs.

    Combine flour and dry ingredients together.

    Use apples for milk.

    Fold in nuts and raisins.

    Pour in tube pan and bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.
