  • 1 c. margarine
  • 2 1/2 c. applesauce
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. nuts

    Cream the eggs, sugar and margarine.

    Mix in applesauce.

    Sift dry ingredients and mix 1 cup of flour mixture with nuts and raisins.

    Fold in dry ingredients and mix well.

    Add nut mixture last.

    Bake in floured tube pan and bake at 350° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
