Applesauce Cake

Ingredients

• 1 egg
• 1 c. sugar
• 1/2 c. lard or butter
• 1 tsp. soda (heaping)
• 2 tsp. cocoa
• 1 c. applesauce (sweetened)
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1/2 tsp. cloves
• 1 tsp. cassia
• 1 tsp. nutmeg
• 1 c. ground raisins
• flour to stir quite thick (2 c.)
