  • 2 c. sugar (both brown and white sugar)
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 4 c. flour
  • 2 cans applesauce (4 c.)
  • 4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. nuts

Directions

    Cream sugars and butter.

    Add applesauce, one cup at a time, with 1 teaspoon baking soda, until you have used 4 cups.

    Mix well and then sift flour with nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon.

    Add the sifted flour and spices to the mixture.

    Add raisins and nuts. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 20 minutes in a large Bundt pan.
